WKPP Cave Diving on Adventure 1, 3rd & 4th November
Hi

Just saw that Adventure One is showing WKPP in action at 9pm, 12 midnight, and tomorrow 9am, 1pm, and 5pm. Lookout for Danger Diaries.

Just in case anyone is interested

Thanks for the short notice, people usually tell me about that sort of stuff a couple of weeks early and then I forget.

So they've connected Wakulla to Ox Bel Ha, excellent.

What can I say...
...except:

While the whole WKPP thing looked much better and a lot more professional than I had imagined and I was still seriously in awe of the depth and time of the dives, the planning, the amount and way they decompressed, etc I was still left feeling that diving in caves the size of your house wasn't THAT challenging.

JJ came across well and GI3 didn't seem the total space-waste that I thought he would be.

Maybe this DIR thing has something going for it after all

Yes, its not the NKG one, although some of the diving footage is the same, but that because most if not all of the footage is taken by WKPP themselves, as they wouldn't let the TV station send in their own divers.

Its a good programme

I confess that having done a lot of 'pot holing' in my youth I somehow thought of cave diving as going on beyond where we had to stop and I was seriously impressed by that idea. However scootering through caverns the size of tube-train tunnels is an interesting logistical exercise in backup support but seems rather lame.

However if cave diving is your thing groping a wreck in 30cms vis with a tape measure and clipboard probably isn't so who am I to talk?
