Cavern I would suggest £130-150 seems a fair rate. Personally I would do it in Florida with nice warm spring water.

It depends so much on what, where and so-on. Our course in Doubs was €430 plus accomodation. But the venue means a rather different set of dives to the "official" line Err... out of sight of daylight....

And which agency? PADI? IANTD? ...

We're in Lot Dordogne in November. Join us for €430...... Twinset welcome..

See Farrworld website

I did a course with Martin Farr in march, the cost was £330 which sounded a lot but you do get to learn from one of the most experienced cave divers around, on a one to one basis. I thought it was well worth the money and I am now going back to do the Intro to Cave course.
Also he is based not too far away from you.

OK we get a "freebie" IANTD (and PADI ) cavern ticket. Not too late.....

(Don't mention standards... )

Nov 11-14th. Free ride with us from here if you want. Pick you up from Hahn - cheap Ryanair. Make a week of it in South of France too if you like.... (our flat)

Academics in French (ziz iz zee line - you get 'old of 'er and no let go oui?)

Helmets with silly lights on required

Not much training - plenty of red wine and sort it out for yourself.
