Dave Irwin

Dave Irwin passed away, a friend for too many years. A mind of information about almost every cave diving site on Mendip and much of the UK and what he could not remember he would find. I will miss him.

It is a shame - he and I were working to publish Graham Balcombe's memoirs. These will still come out in May but I was hoping to be able to tap his extensive knowledge to update the Somerset Sump Index.

Last time I saw him we shot the breeze taking engineering speak. I biggest regret was that I didn't get to know him better.
