| Next Cave dive. Id like to get involved in cave diving, so if anyone wants extra help on their next cave diving trip, then let me know. Im offering to help outside the water, at least until i know enough and have enough experience to help out in water. I know what im doing with regard to open water diving, and kit setup etc, and would really love to come along and meet people, and learn more. you can vet me and decide if im good enough for cave diving? regards chris wade |

| I might be on a course soon Best of luck, I'm rather desperate for exposure myself but it's very hard to even get someone to go UK cavern/cave diving, if you can find one that doesn't require caving.

| Why not do a cavern course somewhere? You can do them in Wales or somewhere overseas if you prefer. (Menorca is good) We're off to the Lot in May, that's pretty much the hotspot in Europe. Good venue for Intro courses too. Not sure there's much near Leicester Chris

| If a cavern course is being considered, and if Chris Wade is considering launching into any English stuff--------Menorca is unlikely give a meaningful introduction to what may follow in England. I did a cavern course in Menorca in 99, it was lovely. Clear warm water, fishies to see, azure blue skies, lovely restaurants-------totally inadequate preparation I suspect :-) Cheers, Malcolm. |

Carrying kit isn't just legwork either, carrying kit through a cave is caving so you should get a bit of caving experience if you don't have any. It will make life an awful lot easier. Then try approaching a CDG regional section, there are four and the details are on the CDG website. I'm sure there'll be more than a few people looking for a lift. I'm also pretty sure most sections will welcome someone that has gone to the effort of getting dry cave experience first. Try also Martyn Farr's courses, they are about the only commercial courses that are applicable to UK conditions. And Howard... I take it you haven't seen the hill yet at the Silica Mines? Cheers, Stuart
