| Had a nice week in the Lot and managed to dive the usual caves. My record for canning 50% of the dives is improving and I only canned about 30% this time As ever I quite liked Ressel and we managed two days there this time. On Saturday it was a bit like Stoney with car parking virtually impossible. Swiss, Finnish, and Czech divers were there as well as the usual French and German, our Belgian mates and our (now) UK registered motor as well. Vive l'Europe!! Sunday we dived St Sauvour and to my great delight the sand slope just through the constriction at 27m was covered in Minnows getting ready to spawn. They formed a huge carpet of animals that ran away from the light beam and swirled around, darting here and there. In a crevice was a huge eel of about a meter long. I guess he was waiting for a feed. Totally amazing. We just sat there for about 15 minutes watching the spectacle. I am still mystified as to the attraction of looking at rock, but this was a really great dive. Sadly the team wanted to go elsewhere in the afternoon so no chance to go back in with the camera Great vis, great week, great food and wine. Bastard gearbox gone on the car so home on Eurostar with car left at repairer in Belgium Chris
