caving harness

howdo all

Getting stuck into some pretty decent caving over in South Australia (Mt Gambier) - need a good caving harness. Usual thing - to fit over a d/s, be comfy under twinset etc etc. I am built for comfort, not speed....

been looking at the PMI Pit Viper - but nobody in the US wants to import into Australia (wont even ship over to me !). Any recommendations (Troll, petzl....any others ?) and any places that might ship internationally ?

ta very much

Your request is a little confusing...are you after a caving harness i.e similar to a climbing harness but designed for abseiling and prusiking - or are you after a cave DIVING harness, for sidemount cave diving ?
A normal harness attached to a twinset is fine for cave diving where sidemounting isn't required.
Troll and Petzl make SRT harnesses (for caving) but the only sidemount cave DIVING harnesses available over here are from either Warmbac or Martyn Farr.
If you want just a twinset harness, any on the market will suffice or make up your own.

sorry, should have been more specific - abseiling and prusiking in and out of holes, not sidemounting.
