Thumbs up Gorgeous George

It was on late last night. To be exact, between the last glass of red wine and the bottle of Bud I had left in the fridge, but not before the tot of malt scotch which I did`nt bother with.

It had been a hard day at Chesil Cove, so the sight of Jerrod whathisnameski was welcome. First time I`ve seen him on T.V. he comes across as normal and a pro.

Regrettable, George `the Speedo King` Irvine was also on the programme, usually flexing his muscles in full view of the camera whilst Jerrod was being interviewed.

To be honest it was an extremely interesting programme. Irvine knows his stuff and has a lot of bottle. Shame he is such an outspoken loudmouth prick

As above

+ Great footage of the cave the entry point looks spectacular but after that its rock rock rock I do strugle to find the bit of cave diving worth the extra risk. But thats just me.

I could not beleive the size of those rebreathers they used they were massive. Generaly the amount of kit carried by the divers and the suport teems was somewhere between impresive and stupid. Why they moan about taking two stages Ill never know

Still the best diving program I have seen for a while.

ATB

Thumbs up

Managed to catch the last 35 mins of it after a PM from Rick. Gotta say it made for worthwhile viewing as the reasons they do these dives - along with the WKPP's "Let's do Cave" work outs - are myriad and help that part of the Florida 'pan-handle' work out a whole bunch of issues, from where their drinking water's coming from (and how much and how long it'll be around) to where to place petrol stations, chicken farms and other such that won't pollute the soil and water-table.

The footage of the scooter drives through the cave systems was spectacular and GI3 didn't come across as as bigger wanker as he usually does - although there were a couple of shots where he was just out of shot and preening himself as he knew he was on camera. JJ was his normal matter of fact and let's get on with it self.

All-in-all a very interersting 60 mins of TV.

About the equipment:
Yes the old breather was called the fridge :-)
About the scooters: You do no want one or two BIIIIG units, because then you have all eggs in one basket. We are used to dive with up to 5 scooters.

About the cave: Wakulla must have been man-made especially for cave-divers :-)

About the WKPP: they run a great team

Cutting Edge?

I was impressed with the programme and despite the various pesonality issues they are sh*t hot divers and you can appreciate why they have to be insistent on the team diving concept and other disciplines.

Nnnnoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

I knew this program was coming, thanks to all of the warnings on YD, then went to Abbs for the weekend and completely forgot all about it... damn!! damn!! and some more damn!! too...

Ah well, I'll just have to be happy with finally diving the Glanmire (my bogey wreck)

If anyone knows if this program will be on again anytime then I'd love a heads up.. thanks in advance

Regards
Dave.

Did any other eagle-eyed viewers spot the (blasphemy!) steel deco bottles and a Poseidon 1st stage on a RB drive bottle... more than made up for GI3's Gay Times cover shot poses
