    Smile Cave diving UK

    Hi everyone,
I'm new in this forum...so please let me introduce myself a bit
I'm diving since 1994, done far too many dives to count them by now... (:
I'm a qualified cave diver with about 40-50 cave dives most of them in Mexico, but also in Spain, France,Budapest-Hungary, Israel, Egypt, Honduras and the UK
I've recently done the UK style cave diving-2 days with Martyn Farr... and now looking forward to get myself "wet"
I am looking for a diver/divers who are happy to take me on board and join them for some cave diving around.

anyone? if not, where can I find keen divers who I can join?
    thanks,
    Ori

The old story. You must join a caving club to get the required public liability cover. Many landowners now insist on that. You will also then not be entering sites illegally and putting caver access rights at risk. Some have taken years to negotiate.Being an open water diver who fancies a bit of cave diving and who enters sites illegally is not helpful. Caving Club with correct Insurance or CDG is the proper route. Wookey and Goughs on Mendip would definitely require this.

    Best of luck.

I have dived Hodge Close a few times, and wouldn't mind doing it again. Its a bit of a trek, and the hardest bit is walking though the stream to the water. Its about a 30 minute dive and easily dived with backmount. Nice surroundings though.

I don't do much cave diving in the UK, and it is something I have started to look at doing, but I don't like wellies, helmets, or boilersuits

    Hi Ori,

If you want to do it right [ apologies, couldn't resist it ] in the UK, as others have said----it's approach the CDG, and join up with a caving club.

Otherwise, you are likely to be very limited in what you can dive.

I'd be up for a trip to Hodge Close, it'a a few years since I've been there.
It's a bit of a drive from Norwich though!

Nice to see you back on here Andy, I hope you will haul your giant scooters through the tunnel and down the ladder :-)

    Cheers, Malcolm.
