Cave Diving - only direction to go is..............Mexico, available from all good airports, or do you mean scrabbling around in freezing water banging your head? Sure somebody will be along in a minute to point you to CDG.

I can also thoroughly recommend Mexico. Chris, Danny and Fred at Zero Gravity are awesome and my best ever dives were out there. I have been lucky to have experienced some fantastic Ocean Dives, including Prince of Wales and Repulse and some ridiculously remote islands in the middle of the Pacific that no-one had ever dived before. Parker's Tunnel in No Hoch is better than any of them and is less than 10m deep.

Full report from my Cave 1 course here:

Cave 1 in Mexico - Lanny's Trip Report

I am in a state of incredulous anticipation at the moment as I have managed to get approval to have our honeymoon in Mexico. Currently negotiating on the number of dive days!

I can do cave diving in Ireland for considerably less than going to Mexico!

Scrabbling around in freezing water is a pretty good description of it though, but it doesn't always hold true.

If you don't fancy the CDG route for British cave diving, Martyn Farr at Farrworld is an excellent instructor.

Nice description of Artur Kozlowskis's diving in the Green Holes near Doolin in the latest Descent magazine (208, June/July 2009). Some nice photos and good descriptions of what the place is like. Just as good as mexico, just different (and as a bonus Ireland doesn't have any snakes). Go on, you know you want to...

Howard would still have the team swimming up and down on that line if we had let him carry on...

Find & join a UK caving club that has CDG cave divers in it if you haven't done so yet. This would probably be your best starting block!

France, can't beat it (well for cave diving anyway) Nearer than Mexico/Florida and no silly regulations and stuff.

Getting started in Uk I'd also recommend Martin Farr in South Wales. He'll give you some good pointers for UK caves and mines.

Have a look at Plongee-souterraine - Page d'accueil to see more about the European scene. The links page (liens) is a good start point to what's around. But do make time to get down here sometime...
