This thread seems to have gone a little quiet. Would those who have recently donated please post on here. This will do two things,

1. It will remind divers that its FOUR weeks tomorrow until the first aniversary of Chris' Death, of a Horrid, Nasty diesease which I would not wish on .. well I don't have any enemies.... Middle Lane Drivers!!! There said it.... (and Breath..... )

2. It will give those on here a chance to Green those who have donated. Donating is surely worth green??

This will do three things....
1. Riminder
2. Greenies
3. It will prompt those new members know may not have known Chris that they can to donate to this worthy cause.

This will do four things....

1. Reminder
2. Greenies (not snot)
3. New Donors
4. It will keep this thread up in the in the recent posts bit.

Go and donate, if we can stop even one person having to go through what Chris did then it is worth it. Even if you never knew him - new to the boards etc - what you see now, the YD we have now is built on what members like Chris said and did.

Today we were about to break through our second target of £15,000 so we have changed this to a staggering £20,000. Chris's main fundraising page which has already reached over £25,000 is going to be boosted by almost twice our original goal!

We set off a week tomorrow for the most exciting and scary trek to the foothills of Everest. It is something Chris wanted to do himself and since he could not then it is up to me! And a few fellow divers... Coming up to a year since Chris died is a staggering and overwhelming state of affairs. How can time go so fast and so slow? He would have been grinning from ear to ear to see how much money has been raised in his memory! Thank you from me and from my lovely inspirational and divecrazy late husband...

The great thing about the fundraising is how much of it is fivers and tenners from individuals and how it all adds up.

My Mum has been collecting donations at her church , literally a pound at a time and has raised about £200.
