Thumbs down Ebay Scam

I recieved an offer of an inspo that was aparently being relisted.

Following a few emails and checking with AP this unit is not quite legit!
Ap say it's an oct 1999 model with a return to the factory this year for hand set upgrades!

The emails are below for any one interested!

Hello

I'm very interested and will certainly have it if you can let me have the serial number so I can confirm the identity of the rebreather with AP. Sorry for insisting on this but there have been a lot of inspirations stolen recently and I would not like to get burnt.

If I could have the serial number before 10am tommorrow I can confirm with AP that day and would purchace through the buy it now system on ebay for the 1850 euro's you are askig by the end of tommorrow.

Thanks in advance

Fin

Hi again,
This is a fully closed circuit rebreather capable of being used for nitrox, trimix or heliox rebreather diving. For those who are thinking about a rebreather I’ve done some fantastic dives with this, it really is an amazing piece of kit. I have used this rebreather with two high pressure 3ltr side cylinders mounted on a stainless steel harness.
About the unit
I have owned this unit from new and it is 3 years old. It has a medium harness and medium couterlungs. It hasn’t had a lot of use and has pretty much lay dormant for the last two years. Both handset housings and the entire wiring harness, including battery box etc were replaced by AP two years ago, since that time the unit has only been used for approx 15 dives, so the electronics are in near new condition. The handsets are not backlit. I had another diluent valve fitted to the diluent counterlung by AP, with the idea that I could use this with a side mounted cylinder without having to swap hoses etc.

Both cylinders were hydraulic tested at the end of last month (the test certs will be included). Both pillar valves have been stripped and cleaned; with the oxygen one being ultrasonically cleaned as part of putting into O2 service. Although the oxygen sensors have only been used for about 20 dives, none of which were deep (over 30 meters), and calibrate correctly, as they are over 2 years old they should be replaced.

Inventory of items:
1. AP Buddy Closed Circuit Rebreather
2. Set of spares including scrim cloth, all ‘O’ rings, maintenance tools (no interstage pressure gauge)
3. 1/3 container of softnolime (old – might be useful for pool work)
4. Two spare batteries

I love crank calls!
It's the oncall number for work so I book 3 hours over time every time it rings!

I would have thought that the payment details make it obvious that it's dodgy: 'International Money Order'

Not for £1300 though

I would'nt mind one as the draw back of the KISS is the lack of CE mark so all the stuff I've been doing with Mark has not allowed me to use it.

Oh and it's broken!
