Inspiration Vision

Mods: Two metalsub clamps fitted for torch and dry suit inflation going to be ordering a lift handle from Kent Tooling very soon.

I already have a KT box for mainly holiday use, (just got to love the flat pack system that KT developed), but haven't set it up yet as I am saving up for a Custom Diver VBS Wing/harness/plate setup for it as I am not to keen on the APD Harness or wing, (I dont think it has anywhere enough lift for at the surface for me and thats the 22kg version). Plus if I am really honest I do like the look of the yellow box

Am also considering an armadillo type setup so that my bailout hangs a bit better.

Why an Inspiration tbh when I was comparing them it just seemed to suit my diving better at a price I could afford I got my unit at a very good price with only 3 freshwater dives on it.

Last but not least I live approx. 45mins away from the factory so if/when I have any questions they are only a phone call or a short drive away from helping me sort it out and so far they have been absolutely great with helping me out and giving advice cheaply, (they really like there cream cakes in the factory )

I currently dive an Inspiration Vision, I previously had an Inspiration Classic. I have made minimal alterations to the Vision, these been:

o replaced harness with an Agir 6mm (5.2Kg) backplate with one piece harness (put a d-ring on right hand waist strap so it's no longer DIR )
o replaced auto-air with a standard Buddy wing/stab inflator
o have a 6 cu. ft. ali cylinder fitted on RHS of backplate filled with O2, to provide a redundant O2 supply that can be connected via the manual O2 add valve.

Had some issues with the ADV (leaking) but otherwise the unit has been very reliable.

I have dived a Pelagian RB & was very impressed by it, especially the trim (and this in a dry suit!). Given it's light weight & simplicity it may feature in my future

There is a yellow box but the IDA64A is the special rebreather.
Zero mag and silenced.

I just want the matching ASM-DT rifle to go with it.

You need another option on your poll - not got one, not getting one but not a Luddite! Take exception to those choosing not to have rebreather being classed as Luddites.

Young Giles, you should be ashamed of yourself! Forgetting the rEvo. tsk tsk.

Only mods I've done so far are:
- Fit BOV, which also means you need a new HUD holder but no big deal.
- Integrate weights. I've cast a short V weight for the lower BP section and put some shot pouches on that BP section as well. Also, I've fitted a Zerogravity weight pouch to the top cage. No weightbelt now required.

About to order the new "low wob" kit. Reduces wob by 25%. I think it's fine as it is. This should be the pods.

I have a Apecs Meg. To be delivered to it's new owner this weekend

What is next, I am not sure Sentinel is high up on the list as is the Apecs/Pursuit Meg. Maybe I will have a go with a MCCR rEvo/Copis meg/Kiss I am going to try a few over the next few months.

Ricky

anyway

originally had a classic now a vision.

changed to KT frame mainly to carry 3s, 5s and 7s all mounted on the back but found it was way to heavy to be practical so now back to the standard unit the way it came from the factory, and it couldn't be better

they are made and certified in a particular way so why bugger about with it
