Slightly off post, I know, but what's happening with Bovisand these days? Is that (and I use the word advisedly) obstreperous Dave Welsh still dug in or has that whole nasty mess been resolved now?

Hasn't it reverted to Services use ?

Isn't that where Prince Harry was the other week ?

I always loved Bovisand. Back in the early - mid ninetines, when they had a good throughput of students on the ill-set up government grant system, it was a happy place to be, and you tended to get to know the guys doing the commercial courses in the bar as well as your own course members. Being so far away from "civilisation" you could have a riot in the bar and no-one cared.
I used to love going down to Plymouth for weekends, not necessarily diving ones, and if it was a nice day, I'd just head over to Bovi, and sit on the highest part of the harbour wall and watch the boats come in and out of the Sound, and watch the chaos down below as the Ribs ran into each other trying to moor up
Ahhh.... memories, shame it all went belly up from that point of view.

Certain parts have always belonged to the services and it is still the home of the Joint Services Sub-Aqua Diving Centre.
