Shellfish diver wanted

looking for shellfish diver for the south east coast of Scotland. must be Part IV and have indate medical. If interested concise reply to razordvr@yahoo.co.uk with including quals and experience.

does it need to be a part IV diver or could 'friends ' do it. From the need for cert. am assuming it's a commercial venture then?

Hmmm, no mention of 'friends' in the post, though no reason why a 'friend' couldn't be employed as long as that 'friend' holds a full HSE pt4 or above and in-date HSE medical. Scallop diving is full-on diving for dosh so it has to be played by the book.

Thought that may be the case, oh well, another opportunity passes me by!!

Feel cheated too, though the 'berk' at the end was for me, not your sig, kinda qualifies me for the position eh (berk that is)!!

Good post Anglesey Plongeur, the 'razor fishing' debate has raged among commercial divers for a while as somewhow this was overlooked by the HSE which allowed non-HSE qualified divers to practice this technique and I think you'll find that those mentioned in that report are not HSE divers. What is proposed in this thread is a proper above-board shellfishing operation.
