I guess, knowing Mike T as I do, he got excited at seeing such a creature while working. After a few weeks at sea, working heavy 12 hour shifts 7 days a week it would be a break from the drudge of work. No animals were harmed - which is more than can be said after a week-ends UK diving when a heap of wildlife get the chop!

Unless the shark was wired-in to the comms system it wouldn't have heard much coming out of that helmet.
