| Puts on half-moon glasses and... ... does a Dumbledore kind of look at you... How you make next year prosperous is up to you and so is the way in which you can make it safe - in diving mode I mean. But you might consider diving with well maintained kit and diving within your limits and don't get dragged into 'chasing' depth or wreck penetration just because they are there or because your 'buddy' wants to, do these when you have been trained in their quirks and hazards. Check your SPG often - thats why its there. When doing 'easy' dives like inland sites, use this time to go over the skills that you know you're not good at - be honest with yourself, if you hate removing your mask persevere until it becomes second nature. Try to maintain or improve your fitness - diving has a habit of becoming very physical just when you don't need it to be and physical can make it stressful - which makes it more physical - a nasty cycle. Remember that there is a monster lurking in the deep - if you stay too long it will be after you... just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't there and don't think that 'it won't ever happen to me' because it happens all too often and chamber operators make handsome money from it. Above all, remember that your family are expecting you to come home. Daft spectacles off... All the best, Berko
