HSE Doctors/London

Hiya

Can anyone recommend a decent and cheap HSE Doc in London? Or anywhere around the midlands/north west England for that matter.

Also, what's the average waiting time to get the HSE medical nowadays?

Cheers

I used to use Dr King, 100 Harley Street. 020 79353084

I have no idea how much he charges now, but he's excellent and the HSE use him themselves.

Tourist is in Worcester Park (near Kingston-on-Thames) on this site. Charges in the region of £75, but don't quote me. Excellent chap and is also a diver.

Cheers, Chris

I second that. I had my HSE medical with him in August 2007 and I think that it was about £80.

Dr Firth at London Diving Chamber is excellent. You can get an appointment usually really quickly and cost is £80 for a repeat HSE medical (£120 for the 1st).

Thanks

Hi

Many thanks for the responses.

Had an extensive discussion about my history with Tourist/Mark Downes, whom couldn't have been more helpful, (thanks).

I now have a much clearer understanding of the GP's role in this, i.e. GP only has to pass along information about any previous medical history and has no autonomy to decide if you're fit for diving work or not. This is great news as my GP is terrified of putting his name to anything!!

Booked in for Wed afternoon.

Cheers again

Rgds
