Fort William teach you everything and tell you to forget what you know already. The HSE recognise that a CMAS 2 equiv can already dive and you don't need to be taught that, that's what the Plymouth guy does, continues from your existing knowledge. p.s. it's not part IV anymore it's HSE scuba.

Are you talking about Tony Hilgrove's course?

So what's the crack with TH's course, I want to know specifically what is not included in that course, compared to scottish schools..... Forgetting about FAAW, 9 days is still a big reduction from 3 weeks. Not knocking either, just interested.

Hi, thanks for the advice. But HSE Scuba at Dunoon etc doesn't teach you to dive, I think there is actually a little module before HSE Scuba that teaches actual mechanics of diving. If there was a breakdown of what is done each day on both Plymouth and scottish school's courses that would be useful, sure someone has a link!! It's a big difference in price and time that's why I'm interested, but don't want to do a cheaper course that may not be as good.
