Raising 65 ton ferry ramp!

OK Any ideas.

Ramp has been located on a hard strata at 70m depth 350m out from a busy port! (Aqaba Jordan) Water temp balmy 22 degrees C.

The ramp has no lifting points except for the two winch drums that lowered it from the stern of the ferry. Would these be strong enough to lift it.

Displacement not really known estimates vary from 10-20 tons.

Would it be best to lift with a crane or lifting bags... having looked into both these in detail both options seem uneconomical by the time everyone has been paid!

The ramp weighs 65 tons and is 12m x 11m in area!

350m out from a busy port

Think he means 350m's in distance from the port.

I would weld lots of expensive and valuable portholes to it and want for someone with a large goodie bag to come along and try to take it home

350m distance from the port 70m depth, biggest window for salvage is 4 hours, although safe to decompress under the floating berth the port authorities will not allow it!!

Just a quick question but Why?

Does it have any significance or is it just because its there?

At 70m then I would of thought it was outside the critical depth for vessel traffic and not presenting an obstruction?

Get a diver to weld holds and lift using a floating crane

however i have seen something large lifted with bags and then towed to safe area
