    Doomed to a full bell-run standing next to a well-head making sure no-one nicks it. The platform only 'does' day-shift, what's likely to happen at 10 o clock at night?!

    I did once see a chap using a bog standard Proteus hat on such a job.........

    My sarcasm filter isn't working today, so I'll explain

    T'was never intended to be a fully submerged dive; the guy was just meant to be knee deep in crap removing a damaged pump. However, the 'knee deep' bit was dependent on the sewage farm keeping a close eye on the errrrm 'water' levels and draining it off sharpish if it got too high.

    Needless to say, they didn't and the poor chap ended up covered in doo-doo without a proper hat on. Said he only 'smelt a bit of poo' but nothing managed to get in.
