Just a heads up really... I've had a couple of little software problems which are now sorted due to the efforts of Bruce and Doug at Shearwater and John at Narked@90.

I'll be sending my Pursuit in for an upgrade once I'm back from my MOD1.

I got mine back form Narked today. Impressive service considering they only got it on Tuesday. Looking forward to getting it wet now!

So is the firmware stable now?

Yes.... the new firmware was just to sort out problems with the download software.... mines been fine since its all been updated.

I'm seriously considering a JJ-CCR. Are they now shipped with the predator or do they need to be upgraded????

Ours arrived in December with Pursuits. Rob Dobson has one on order, PM him and ask what he's expecting to get.

When I did my Level 1 course last week, Dave Thompson advised waiting until the summer to send the head in for the upgrade. Either way, I wouldn't let that make me wait to get the JJ - just go for it

I've read up your trip report with Dave, very informative. I'm looking at either the JJ or sentinal, I'm off to Malta in September to do the nomoxic trimic course so I'll looking to buy after that.

I'm going to have to arrange a try dive on the JJ does Dave offer them???

Do you mind me asking the price of the mod1??

Apparently not. They are not shipping with the Predator until they're happy it's OK. Not that the Predator isn't OK, it's just that the JJ has a custom implementation and that's being tested out now.

If you're sure you want to do down the CCR route, you might want to think about canning the trimix course, as you'll have to do it all over again on CCR. I wouldn't bother.

Thanks Nick i'll get in touch with Dave. Mmmm now I'll have to consider normoxic Vs Mod 1 for this year, it would certainly put me on CCR much sooner. As a gross generalisation is this correct or does it not quite work like that??

Mod1= ADV Nitrox
Mod2= Normoxic Trimix
Mod3= Full trimix

I can't wait , just spoken to the very nice men at Narked at 90, and they kindly reduced my bank balance by a significant amount and i should be the proud owner of a Predator shortly..
