Stuart,

Joking aside, some "waterproofness" would be an asset. For second dives I tend to decant gas from a single cylinder into my twins so I don't have to reconfigure everything/change wings etc. Currently I just treat the second dive as an "air" dive and don't bother analysing the EANx mix as I will be well within any limits.

I guess "spray proof" might be an asset. I can not visualize in my mind what the finished item will look like. Will I need to get a casing and gas tube + cap for it?

Sorry to keep pestering you but I ( )need some advice on this bit.

It's basically as waterproof as your TV remote. The display (the expensive bit) is sealed from the factory and would survive a dunking. The rest are easily replaced, in fact the only weak point would be the calibration pot. I've used audio grade pots so these are a bit pricier, but they are still only a couple of quid.

I could build one inside an Otter box or something but that would take a bit of faffing. Best bet is stick it inside a ziploc bag, you can work the controls and read the display from outside the bag, just leave the sensor cable poking out.

Teledyne sensors come with a removable baffle that might keep spray out the sensor. It also has a hydrophobic membrane but I don't know how these resist salt spray.

OK - I've taken enough of your time already. Pls send "as is" + advise amount you still require. I will, of course, add enough for a couple of beers.

Thanks very much for doing this + your ability to show off and knock up these items has made me feel very insignificant and thick . Even with the plans from my Oxygen Hacker's Handbook I still wouldn't have got round to this.

No worries. I'm doing them in 6's and the next set of parts is due in a day or two. It takes me a day to cut out the boxes and another to fit all the parts and test them. Actually, it takes a couple of hours for both jobs but my boredom threshold is low
