sigh I bought both Proplanner and the VR3 download software when I got the computer (CCR Trimix).
They both languish idle and unused.
If I want something user hostile I can use DDplan. At least you feel like you're accomplishing something.

Thumbs down Vr3 and Delta P ?

Hello all,

I purchased a new Vr3 about 2 weeks ago and done only one dive with it. During my 6m stop I saw it was showing 0.6m less than the Vytec, so I compared it with 2 other friends using Vr3 and diffrence was same! So I contacted Delta P about my problem and they asked me to return it back for testing and calibration. I asked about postage and told me that they will pay for it and gave me their UPS account. Today I received a letter from them saying that the unit is working fine, with a pic of it being teated at 92.6m altought my problem was at 6m but I have faith in their testing. They said that they will pay for the postage from Malta and Uk and testing but I will have to pay postage to Malta. Do you think this is good customer service? Does they think I am crazy that after having received my unit of which I need it's use will send it back just for the pleasure of it!

Regards

Hi

Surely if they asked for it to be returned then they should pay for the postage back.

I agree with Andy.

As much as I love the VR3 I am a bit less loving about some of the money orientated habits of Delta P. It’s a very expensive bit of kit and I think they should cover the postage.

I have to say that I wouldn’t have got too excited about such a small difference; I don’t think depth sensors are that accurate. Variations in salinity I think alter their findings. I assume both units were set for salt water? You will also find difference between the PP02 readings on the VR3 and the Vytec but in my case the VR3 is more accurate. Ill check my one for depth next time I dive.
