OK can you help me with this. I put in the PIN code to upgrade to trimix. I set the gasses I'll be using and then I dived the unit. Now this is where you guys seem to be getting different results to me. The unit seemed to work perfectly. I've tried everything but i'm buggered if I can see a fault. Short of dropping it on the floor what else can I do? Please help me coz I'm really feeling left out.

You're not the only one. I've been using mine for ages now and it hasn't gone wrong once. I think I need to send it back to Delta-P!

EXACTLY. It's the same Icon on every line so what does it contribute? It means you get half the lines on a normal screen. The fact that you have a desktop the size of my desk does not mean that running it on the laptop is illegal.

Not on mine. The 52 becomes 5.2, 10.4 etc. was reading straight out of the log.

Doesn't do anything for me. If I'm diving a plan I routinely bend the VR3 as I do the deep stops on the slate to stay with the pack. I certainly wouldn't type in my plan from the IPAQ.

But in obscure places. If you must store locations in a database what's wrong with a combo box that you type in or select from the list? If I get Helicopter, helicopter, helycopter and Helicoptr it's my fault and if I ring up and whinge tech support is supposed to not laugh in my face but will probably fall off the chair when I put the phone down.

I'm perplexed. This is just the usual version problem people have because the instructions are hidden at the back of the manual. Everybody gets that the first time they try to download. It is rank laziness on the part of the sending programmer as if things are version dependant then the first thing you send is the version number.

I did write more but I cut it back a bit in deference to YD's bandwidth budget. As I have said I'm not a great VR3 fan but view it as "least worst" of the current crop. My real sadness is dive computers will continue to be dominated by the "The computer is in charge" mentality. This might be true for what is known as recreational diving but for technical diving (I hate those words) it should not be the case. If the diver isn't in charge and making the decisions they shouldn't be down there. My preference would be conservatism that does not frig the model but controls how close you come to the model. Arbitrarily pretending you were a bit deeper etc. has no justification other than it has the same sort of effect.

Good luck with the next release. I confess I never looked to see if there is a 'new version' system so I might be a bit behind. (1.2.7)
