I think its some sort of right of passage normally you have to figure out the strap first, and then it’s the pin number thing and finally its gas planning and switching. If you can achieve success in all three levels of mental endurance without becoming a raving dribbling homicidal maniac then you earn the right to wear the hallowed VR3.

Aparently 1000's never see the water as they end up smashed against walls.

Mark,

That's why the Vr3's are constructed all in metal and bolds, just to withstand the smash it with the wall thing, didn't you read all the manual it's written

Pin number was a pain, but I found gas setup and switching easy.

This strap though, rite of passage seems very appropriate

To put the strap on just unscrew the retaining pin and then screw it back in.

A tip is to then cable-tie the buckle so that it cannot unclip and then there is no need for a wrist retainer!!

Cheers

Its an intelligence test; if you can't get the strap on then you've no chance with the VR3!

I've got some pictures somewhere if you're still stuck.

Question VR3 Colour Screen

The screen on my VR3's gone & needs replacing. I could however replace it with a colour screen rather than the existing monochrome one.

Money aside... Has anyone got one or seen it in action in the H2O?

Does it improve readability in the water? (My main criteria)

Any thoughts?
