| Hi all Im off to the Red Sea What conservancy setting should i put the vr3 on? Bearing in mind no hassles trouble free viz etc. Ta in advance |

| going on a liveaboard later this week how many vr3 batteries should i take, most likley doing four good dives a day, i have 3 xeno 3.6 lithium so far ps its colour lcd and not running anything other than itself thanks in advance paul... |

| That's more than enough. My colour VR3 has done 40 hours on the one lithium battery, just don't keep checking the logs or doing simulated dives and you'll be fine.

| Older VR3 I am looking into buying a VR3 for Normoxic/Full trimix OC. Rather than buy a new one have been looking at Rebreather world and on this forum plus fleabay. Given that I will only be running OC is there any disadvantage in buying an older VR3 - for example V2.1 CXR. I am not worried about a colour screen or Big graphics or any other add on. An all singing and dancing spectrum would be nice but probably overkill. Having used a VR3 extensively then would refer to go down this route rather than look at alternatives as they remain too expensive. Thanks Ian |

| Hi Ian, I've done this myself. I've had no negative experience. I bought a 4 years old one last year, and it suits me fine. It doesn't even have an external port. You'll save half the cash you would on getting a new Colour, and will most probably be able to get one with a port. Dave C
