Not sure what is the best solution, try using the latest download version from their site and reinstall the software.

| Hi Paul, You could try downloading a logfile from someone else and see how that behaves. If it opens ok then its fairly certain that it is your log file at fault and take it from there. http://www.ukrecscuba.org.uk/ukdiver/simon.zip

Hi Chris, Have tried, the CD version, 1.5 and 1.6 all doing the same thing. I thought it might be a hardware thing but as I said the demo log works fine???

Had a similar problem myself with my vyper. It turned out to be due to two issues 1. Contacts on both PC lead and Vytec have to be very clean and free from any salt deposits (rinse pc contacts in warm tap water and dry with lint free cloth) 2 Must use latest software versuion - can be downloaded from Suunto website. Hope this sorts your problem Regards Alex

Thanks guys for the rapid responses, Tried marts’ log and it did the same thing, kept trying to break the demo log and managed it in the end. PC went into safe mode (4 bit colour) and came up with the following error. ati2dvag display driver has stopped working normally(a clue from the Windows XP pixie), went into Device Manager and updated my Display adaptors and all is well. Thanks again Paul I know this is a bit long winded but I thought it could be useful if someone does a search.
