Hi Justin i am in the same position as you extended range next week Scappa booked, CCR in the future and so on and have gone through the VR3/vytec option for a bit now deciding which to get. In the end i went for the VR3 as it is future proof and is a very nice bit of kit. I did not know there was a new option coming out but its bought now and it has and dont think it will make that much difference to me. I know a lot of people with both computers some with both and the only diference between the ones with the vytec and VR3 is the ones with the VR3 have one the ones with the vytec are getting one Hope this helps.
Ivon.

Like PCs don't buy until you need and then you won't be disaponted when you see the same spec for less money later.

I have a VR3. I feel good about a case that I think I could knock nails in with. I like user changable batteries. I like the upgrade to CCR/Trimix concept. I like entering my buddies gas mixes so all I have to do is switch them on and breath. However I can't promise that at that price something as good but a lot cheaper will not be on the market someday.

I can't comment on other computers. A friend's HS did a lot of air miles when he first got it but seems to have settled down now and I've never played with any other multi-gas units.

Deco Computer - VR3/Vytec..

Justin,
If you want a computer that will meet your needs currently and then can be used with ccr and it's own PP02 monitor but not Helium mix's then the VR2 might be an option it is cheaper than the Vr3 but will do the same job except it will not do Helium.
The Vr2 is available with a colour screen or standard and just about all the feature of the Vr3, check www.vr3.co.uk for more info.

Cheers

Barrie
