my favouritest bit of kit!
I have a vyper and i love it - its my favouritest bit of kit!

I would get a vytec if i was buying again cos its nice to have the gas switching capability for accelerated deco, and the buttons are a little more protected - but i don't neccessarily dive with it on the nitrox mix i'm diving anyway - tend to dive with it set in nitrox mode but set to 21%, so i'm using it as an air computer, cos i'm not looking to extend my bottom times, but to give me an extra safety margin. (Obviously i keep an eye on my ppO2 and MOD and dive these appropriate to the nitrox mix!)

I have used the guage mode, but the problem with the vyper is that unlike the vytec it won't let you change mode until the no fly time has ticked away...if you keep it in nitrox mode it will let you change the nitrox %, but you can't change from nitrox to air, etc until the no fly time is done.

Great choice as far as i'm concerned - ive got one!

Its the Dive 'Puter of choice for most of my dive club and we have a very good safety record
