| My Analox had been going strong for over two years and I use it several times every week for courses. I would recommend that you have access to one at the dive site so that you can check the mix before putting a reg on it. That doesn't mean that everyone has to have their own and if you dive with a group or club you can share one. We stock them so take a look at the link below. http://www.dive-tech.co.uk/analox%20O2EII.htm

| As Garfy boy and I dive pretty much together 99% percent of the time, we bought an Analox O2EII between us.

Isn't this what they teach on Nitrox courses? Have your own and protect it, calibrate it, check it and use it. I routinely blow 100% through other people's to check the cells aren't on their way out. If it then reads high on air after adjusting the knob on 100% the cell is current limiting. |

| i have a O2EII, good bit of kit. i use it on all my gas mixs wether it be trimix or deco gases and it always seems to be accurate. bit of a tip for you get the sensor saver kit with it, i have had mine running on the same cell for about 3 years now and regulary run 100% and 50% through it. and at the moment it is still going strong, will change the sensor for next year though just out of precaution, but it still is reading as expected. I guess the mistake was because he topped off the cylinder then quickly analysed it and therefor didn't get a representative sample although it could have been due to a wet or old sensor. If the shop analysis suprises you or them then you need another analyser to verrify it's right before you dive (even if it doesn't suprise then it's a good idea)! |
