| Computers & Dive Timers: Discuss do you have an analyser? in the Dive Kit and Equipment forums: I use an Oxyspy. It was fairly cheap compared to most, with the disadvantage that apparently the sensor doesn't last ... |

I won't go into the in's and out's , but the big mistake i made was..... Leaving my twinset in a LDS and asking for a 38% mix. Collecting the following day on shop leaving time and not checking the contents. Doing a a dive knocking well into deco. Diving on my computer set to 36 %. Doing 6 hours in the pot, due to diving on AIR ![]()

It's easy to forget a mix sometimes if you've not used it for a while or if you forgot to change the sticker on it, just buy one to be safe, it's only money. James

| I originally got an Analox to say 'thanks for the free Nitrox' to my LDS but it has become invaluable and wouldn't go on a dive without it! Shared between myself and my bestest bud, Yipee Diver, and never rely on a shop analysis as you need to give the gas a good few hours to mix proper and to cool down before an accurate reading can be taken, as I find that the readings between shop and dive can vary!

| Hi.. (no disrespect to Andy....) I bought one when I started doing diving away from my local LDS (they always had an analyser at the sites I dive it, I analyse it... it may seem petty, but I like to do the actual analysis myself as opposed to watching someone else do it. I have the OMS Analyser... good piece of kit... Cheers Neil

| Essential bit of kit in my opinion. If anyone is doing a homebuild, I have a couple of Inspiration cells up for grabs, one now and another couple in a month or so. A self addressed stamped Jiffy and the offer of a beer if we ever meet is all it takes. ![]() |
