| I think this depends very much on your LDS. It depends on whether you give them time to fill the tanks, 24 hours for example or do you wait and take the tank away? In my experience, when given ample time (which is a PITA for us as we have to make 2 trips) I have got very accurate fills, but when rushed (gases not given time to mix) I've had shop analysis vary wildly from my analysis 24 hours later. The O2EII is an excellent piece of kit and mine has been going strong for over 3 years even with most tests being 70-100%. Do it, you wont regret it. Juz

If your diving nitrox, you really should have your own analyser, even if it's to check your tanks just prior to diving....... ps, Not funny being bent after trusting a dive shop to do me a mix... |

| Have got my own home-built OxyGuess made from bits kindly donated by Duncan Price (well I swapped him for some shiny stainless bits). It analyses to within a gnat's doo-dah of commercially available ones. Well worth saving you the ££££ as they are remarkably simple bits of kit. IIRC you can make one from a 4 quid multimeter.

| Andy, thats exactly how I'm beginning to feel I trust my LDS, and I do give them time to do the fills, but I still think I'd be more comfortable with my own analysis as well. I guess I really know the answer already...so I'll be looking around at the dive show...

| I have a similar analyser to the Oxyguess (random number generator which Woz has). I think I spent a grand total of 80 pounds on it, and that includes 20 notes on a nice pelican type waterproof plastic box thingy. Its basically the Oxycheq self build. Dave C |
