| I have had a few beers and the CNS depressant is kicking in. Lets get this right then. Kevin & Co (DeltaP) are, once again, about to pull off another diving technology first. And the home market is complaining about the price! Sorry lads even if you can't afford it just yet at least acknowledge the achievment. No wonder all the UK talent works for American companies. |

| Honestly i thought the VR3 i bought a few months ago way going to last me a long time can you tell me what the bebifits of the new software is? Thanks Ivon |

Sorry Matt, cant agree with that one M8. I paid i think about £660 for my full trimix VR3 nearly 2 years ago, for a computer that they advertise as the only computer you will ever need as it's fully reprogramable, but the upgrades cost the best part of a new unit, £400 is really taking the piss. As for not affording it, does not it come into it. I just dont like companys taking the piss out of the consumer. My £400 notes will be staying in my wallet, anything is only worth what people will pay and i dont think Delta-P will get many upgrades coming there way at that price....but time will tell. | Where I am coming from is that when Neil Armstrong made that one small step for mankind the American public were not too bothered about how much they had paid to get that mark in the sand. Kev keeps doing it, first Nitrox computer, first multi-gas computer, first upgradable dive compter, first colour dive computer and now first VPM computer. We could be saying 'hey wow that's kewl' instead we sit around complaining about the cost. Your VR3 does exactly the job you bought it for. You can upgrade it if you want and if yo don't want, it is no worse at it's job than it was yeasterday. So what are the complaints about..a Brit company has managed another first! |

| Well i here what you are saying but at the level of diving i am at i am glad i didn't listen to the people who said to wait until this came out. At the end of the day i feel a lot better getting the comp when i did, i don't want the colour screen and if the new option is not going to really going to benefit me in the next couple of years then i still feel as though i made a good purchase at the time i bought it. I have had no problems with the unit i have but i know a bloody lot of people who do. Ill still be on the war path to them at the dive show about the new screens protectors as they are absolutely crap. Ivon |

But seriously, as long as there isn't any major benefit to an upgrade/problem with staying with the "older" version then I'm happy.

Hi I havent botered upgrading my ones to 3.0 i couldent see the point / benifit. The V2.1 onwards seem to be bug free as we all have that one and thank god dont seem to suffer much in the way of unit failures. I was going to upgrade to the VPMB but the cost is stupid so i wont bother. I have been getting out of the water just fine without it for two years so do I realy need it? I would have paid about 150 - 200 but 400 is crazey. ATB Mark Chase
