Wicked, thanks for the heads up Paul. I've just dl'd and installed the update version and it works a treat. It even managed to grab some temperature data from my Vyper too, but not at every sample period. It's an improvement though

I haven't had too big a play with it yet, but the user interface looks the same. It didn't overwrite any of my old logs or lose them ( I backed up just in case) so it looks safe enough to do the update people. Just remember though that if you do the full install version, you will lose your old logs so make sure you grab the update one!!

Looks like a few niggles have been sorted out

The search is much better (you can search on the custom fields as well now).

The temperature graph just shows 3 values: start, max depth and end - but it's better than nothing!

Just tried the update but it won't pick up my Vyper in the new version, bear in mind I am using a home-made download cable. So i restored the 2.1.5 version with no problems and it works fine again.

Any ideas?

Thanks Dan

Any idea if I can transfer the logs from the old software (v1.6) to this version?

Definitely impressed with this version seems to have sorted a couple of things. Now shows starting temp and at max depth (Vytec) and prints sensible dive lists. Although I could get some lists in 2.1.5 with a bit of messing about, I could never get the data to show how I wanted it, it would always be in some weird Suunto order which was never useful like dive number or date, now at least there is some logic and it seems more flexible.

yep.

click on import select import sdl 1x and browse for your log files.

Looks like the numbering issues with importing have been solved but any kit you have assigned to a dive will not import.

Cheers,
Paul

Just installed it, it's a great improvement. I still have to play with it further, for example I want to try to print out a resume table of the dives - not sure if it can be done.

I tried the original 2.0 version and put off so this was a big happy surprise. Thanks for the posting, would have kept to the old version otherwise.

Definate improvement but still very full of problems. I've actually had enough of Suunto now and I'm writing my own dive logging software
