Suunto Vyper - Erasing Memory

Just become the proud owner of a Suunto Vyper and am looking for a way of deleting the prvious owners dives.

Can't see anything in the manual - does anyone know how to do it?

Ta, Steve

I don't think that you can 'erase' them manually.
When you start diving with it, the new dives you do will stay in the memory and when you get to the memory limit, the old dives will be erased with the new ones.

If you have a download kit, you can download the old dives and then use the ignore flag on these, so they never get downloaded again.

As he say's ,The only way is to send it to Sunnto & they can do it at the factory but it's an arm & a leg to do it .I enquired for my vytec & that was their answer .

I've just managed to start downloading the info from mine to my PC - it looks like the first 20 odd dives have erased themselves!

If you have the software etc. you can manually input the dive number on Divemanger 2.

The answer is to get diving and do lots of it. That way the old dives will drop off the end as your dives take their place

Pop it on a reel, send it down to 30m then leave it there for a week. You'll get a full memory from the massively extended dive profile and the next dive you do will wipe it all out.

You can actually see the tide come in and out on the profile. It's very entertaining.

Guys,
I was asking about an API for Suunto computers and another software developer replied that he is developing one. I think he's on his was now and I believe he already devloped a software program to erase the memory of the Suunto. Please try
