SDM - heading -1 degree? whats this mean

just downloaded my logs onto the SDM after about a year.

looked at some of the profiles and 1 or 2 of them says heading -1 (with the degree sign on it, superscript 0 ) anyone know what it means?

also i seem to be missing a few dives in between. i am pretty sure i dived with my vytec on those dives but i cant find them on my computer logbook. i know these from teh dates i went on diving holidays.

there are also a few missing becasue of the profiles i remember, so i know i am missing a few of my deep long dives.

any idea why this is happenining?

i checked the computer logbook manually, and i cant find the missing profiles there either, i forget how many dives you can view 20? since after the last few dives i did, the logbook just goes to end.

i though you can view all your dives on the computer as well. i never really used the logbook before since i have never really concerned myself with logging dives.

Does it actually say "heading" on the screen? I'd have thought that the 0/1/2 degree would be the safety margin, which you can set from the menus on the Vytec.

You can lose dives if the memory filled up, in which case the oldest dives get overwritten. If you had the date set incorrectly then they may not go missing in the order you dived them, and if they are still there they might be in a completely different place in the log because of the dates.

yup it says "Heading -1" in a green box on my profile. I havent seen it before and only appears on some dives.

my conservatisism is set to "0" so it cant be that, good idea though wont have thought of that.

oh yeah thanks i forgot theres a limited number of hours in the memory. must download my dives more often.

although i still find it weird that I am missing so many dives, the date setting on my vytec hasnt changed since i got it. and i have the dives logged on the computer for before and after the week that I am looking for.

i half logged them in my logbook as well so i know the max depth and dates but was looking to get the dive times in.

ahhh unless i downloaded them already the last time on my previous PC before it crashed? would it download them again on the new SDM i installed?

with the D9 if you press the top left button it places a bookmark on the profile, so that you can remember anything important or critical during the dive. funny enough it also indictaes the heading as 1 when i look at the profile in SDM. no idea what that means though.
