Primary differences are...

1. Gas Switchable - The old 'TEC' model was a single gas computer whereas this new model lets to switch to a second richer gas for accelerated deco. Hence the '2G' moniker...

2. Average Depth Display - This is the feature that all the DIR boys are creaming themselves over. Basically the old model used to base its average depth calculation on the point you left the surface which gave an average depth shallower that you actually wanted. This new model, however, lets you reset the average depth calculation once you hit the wreck. Far more useful.
