Uwatec Memo Mouse with Aladin Air

OK, just got my Aladin Air back from DiveQuip (top job Pete ) and I am just retrieving the last dives from it (from before it broke) and I have noticed a really weird thing.

I connected it to my Dell Latitude D610 and tried to download the profiles. I switched it into Logbook Mode, got the green light on for 4 secs and then selected Transfer. I get a message saying that there is a communication error between the computer and the memo mouse. So I booted up DataTalk and tried to check the settings (verified that the correct Port was on) and it won't talk to the puter. Set the Port to Auto and still won't talk.

So, I switched over to my ancient Compaq N600C and didn't have any problems??????

I have tried with both the power lead connected and disconnected on the laptop and it makes no difference.

The fact that the Compaq works with it tells me the problem is with the Dell. I've upgraded to the latest variant of DataTrak and the latest Com Port Drivers......still no joy?????

Both machines run XP.

Any suggestions.?????
