Macs

Yes I agree, Macs are the better option... and the prices are falling. I will never buy another windows machine.

The Dive software looks good aswell.

Cheers

Resurection

Bringing this one back from the dead.

Anyone have problems with an 'Unknown Application" popup when trying to transfer?

No other applications running so nothing else is hogging the COM1 port, and I'm stumped. Manufacturer being rather "wait for an update" stubborn right now.....

Cheers

mmmmmm.....

Owning a Mac is like waking up from a long and terrible dream where your hands are stuck in pots of molasses and there are bees in your eyes.

For me anyway. I wept with joy.

Hey pc owners, how's those hot corners working for you? And the user manuals, they're fun eh. Accept or Deny. I dare you.

I so agree with you. I have to wash my hands after being at work as they use the crashy hell that is windoze.

My solution now for this is to use Parallels on my Core2Duo Mac, and use XP, and use the proper Suunto Dive Manager, which is actually quite a nice application now.

USB cable works great inside XP inside Parallels.

For the record - my works laptop is Vista, and I hate it with a passion. The most unstable, unusable, unhelpful, unfriendly and just plain bad operating system MS have ever coded

It may end up being wiped and downgraded to XP in the next month if the current crop of crashing doesn't stop

I cannot bring myself to sully my Mac with the crap that Gates produces. It'd be like putting a Ford Fiesta engine in a Rolls Royce "cause I'm used to it". Come on.

And on XP. The reason I bought the Mac, or rather the final factor, was that the Great Poo Bah Gates has decided that the XP is old, and you now cannot buy a new machine with XP. It has to be Fiesta. Oops sorry, Vista. Also, XP support will be withdrawn in July 08. And, to top it all, there are also rumours that Fiesta will not be on the recieving end of any upgrades as a new and 'so much better' OS will be released in about 12 months.

Wow, is that the RRP for the Suunto USB cable?? That sounds awfully cheap! In Oz they were $199, which is why I never bought one
