Imported post Has anyone been as tight as me and tried to copy the circuitry for the Vyper? The electronics aren't complex but deciding what to use as "casing" for the wires is. Any ideas?

Imported post I built the interface for my Aladin, and the bits were small enough to fit inside the case of an over-size 9-pin D-Type connection. The other option is RS (or Maplin) do little ABS enclosures which you could use (about the size of a small TV remote control). Try this bit on the RSWWW web site; http://makeashorterlink.com/?T56B3298 (The URL is huge so I've used makeashorterlink) Hope this helps.

Imported post Bollocks. The RSWWW site times out (so you probably saw nothing?). Go to; http://www.rswww.com Click 'Electrical' in the All products submenu CLick 'Enclosures - Metal and Plastic' Click 'Hand Held Enclosures' And you're there. The one I thought may be useful is the Large Smart case with the cable gland - and could build the suunto interface into the top of the case.

Imported post I know you're designing for the Vyper and that you're past the internal wiring stage but I did a search and found this site. Maybe of (some) use? Regards

Imported post Hi Bantam, can you send me the details for making the interface for the Aladin pro? I was planning on buying one, but if I can make one myself that would be great! Eddie..

Imported post Eddie, Here's the URL for you all; http://www.muenster.de/~matthias/aladin/building.htm I built the interface like shown, and I have tested it on; Aladin Sport Aladin Pro Aladin Pro Nitrox Aladin Ultra Pro and it works. He also has a link to the software. Note - the communication happens between when you choose logbook mode and when the 1st dive appears. If it's all connected, you put the PC into read mode, change the Aladin into logbook and select the 1st dive. The aladin will pause for a second and the PC will read the dives in. You must make sure that your PC time is 100% OK as it uses the current time to adjust back to the dives stored (they're stored as being current time minus x seconds) Also, your dives abroad will need to have time adjusted as it will assume all dives are local.(but all these downsides happen with the memomouse too). The windows software won't read from the interface, but the DOS one will, so use the DOS one to download the dives, and then open the logfile in the windows one.
