| There isn't an indicator, it just lasts until it stops I guess, but as Wilbo's link says, 11 years at 100 dives a year. Mine is 12 years old, and has done only about 60-70 dives as I normally take the two M1's down, and its still going strong though, despite not being activated for years in the middle...

| I use two timers, one of which i had for only 3 years before the battery went ! I took it to LIDS last year and the guys from Uwatec swapped it with no questions The other one is 7 year old and still going strong.

| The Uwatec Dive timer is a "potted" timer which means it is't designed for a battery change, The average life span is about 10 years but some people will get a bit more out of them. Once they die you just throw them away. I've go one that's about 10 yrs old. They're a bit like those Tamigochi things that you have to feed only you need to take these diving and dry them out afterwards otherwise they sulk. |

| Cheers I was told a dud that when you turn it on ...........it self tests and displays within the group of numbers what the battery life is ? (i.e Aladin Comp's) Numbnuts here beleived that, and I have been turning it on and off trying to read it...........88.8 is that % ? Well I will check the build age now and it will give me an indication of what I can expect Cheers db |
