Dead VR£
..or to be more precise in intensive care.
As has been posted else where my VR£ decided to opt out of proceedings at an inconvenient moment on Saturday - NDaC, 50 ish metres and about 10 mins into the dive. I may have caught it on a rock but cannot be sure.
Whatever the reason, it has flooded. Big time. I removed the battery and first water came out followed by what looked like an emulsion - anyway loads of it.
Has anyone had similar experiences and how much was the repair or was it a replacement job?

I think Id have left it there and claimed on the insurance.

I bet its going to be expencive.

This is the first I have heard of someone breaking it. Have you already sent it to delta P they are usually good with customer service.

Out of interest: Is the glass screen broken? Is this the first dive since changing the battery?

Anyways, you'd best call DeltaP for advise.

No to both - there is no evidence of external damage - I only say I may have bashed it because I have a small bruise on my wrist but I don't recall anything - isn't nitrogen wonderful

I'll keep the board posted on progress and cost - do we have a virtual cap ?

I would post it back to Delta P the customer service is second to non and will look at all problems for you
