Yeah Roger, it worked fine though your experience may be different.

I broke both my Suunto cables through damaging the pins, today I got me mate who has a soldering iron to solder it back and as hes very knowledgeable about electronics hes done some jiggery pokery and ensured the pins will not fail me again.

Gekko cable

I've just ordered a cable for my gekko, thrilled at the prospect of being able to download the dive info into suunto dm.

Have any users on YD done this?, any feedback?

Basicly, does it work ok and is there any prospect of it sh**ging my gekko?

Gekko Download

Ive used the Gekko2Vyper program a few times and it hasn't done any damage to my gekko,

Downloads all the dives perfectly as well.

Cheers

See the bit to the right where it says location and post count? Above there is a picture of some scales, find the post of the person you want to green and click their scales and geen away

Glad it worked OK, I was nervous doing it on mine.

Andy,
At Vobster this weekend not 6, not 60, but a nice gentle 26. Water bl##dy cold though. Might have to clear my profiles after this weekend though, as they probably look more like a very long saw tooth. I was playing casualty on a CBL had to call a halt to it after 3 times I was getting dizzy, and didn't fancy being launched either. Still THAT'S WHAT YOU GET when u take people in training.
Regards
Roger

i do believe that even if you delete the history that Sunnto can retrieve the details back at there factory

but if its just for your own use and you dont want to down load somebody elses dives then the software is fine to use

Is the Suunto Eraser program selective about the dives it can delete? I'd like to clear most the the history on my second hand D9 but keep the last few (my) dives. Thanks.
