VR3 no stop times

Used my new vr3 for the first time yesterday, (am going ccr so thought id splash out!), used it as oc nitrox 32, at the same time i wore my vytec ds. The no stop time on the vr3 was at least 10 minuites less than the vytec which i found suprising! I know it runs on different tables to the vytec but so do a lot of other computers and they are almost on par with each other. Is it down to the deep stops that the vr3 puts in, or am i being a right muppet and missing something plainly obvious

Paul

Dont worry about it, I have come across enough negative attitude since diving and being a muppet. Ill seek information from someplace more grown up!

Can't you set the conservative levels of the VR3 and the DS independently? So unless you can find out which level matches the other's, you are on a hiding to nothing.

Nice to see you dived with something that you knew worked rather than jump in with the VR3 for the first time

Might be worth making a post to find out what others dive their VR3s and find the closest to 'your' factors.

Son, you're going to have to make up your mind about growing up and becoming aircrew. You can't do both.

The aircraft limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular aircraft. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no limits.

got the vr3 on 0 setting, no other gasses switched on, ds on rgbm100, both on the same mix, just looking for a bit of straight info.

You use a VR3 for no-stop diving? Why bother....

I personally think is a pointless feature on the VR3

I don't use a computer, only a depth gauge, but what does VR3 - 0, and DS 100rgbm eqaute to in normal gradient factors?

I know that Mark Chase has had experience of pretty much dive computer out there (finally made his mind up on something now!) so might be worth dropping him a line! Otherwise maybe someone else can help.

No stop - not a bad way to start learning how to use it. Then progress on to deco, then gas changes.

Then start again on CCR?
