Anyone know whats the difference between the 2 pin or the 7 pin external connectors?
Does it make any difference to ethe computer or is it just older with the 2 pin?

I was in the dive shop on Thursday and there were a couple of guys in there talking about exactly the same thing. Obviously I don't know anything about VR3's but they were getting the connector changed from 2 to 7 pins. I think they also mentioned a cable adapter.

the 2 pin is old
the 7 pin is new

with the 7 pin you can have more pins to bend




its a down load thing and so you can use th new hud thing they have now i think!

7 pin connectors are a different rev of the board, the boards with 2 pin connectors can't run all the stuff the new ones can (VPM etc)
There are also at least 2 different versions of board for the 7 pin connector VR3 that I'm aware of as well.
