suunto vyper interface

I've decided to make a winter project out of building a suunto vyper interface to download my dives. I know this has been covered before on YD and I have tried a search but failed to find anything. Can anyone more computer literate help?

Save yourself a lot of grief and buy a Sensus Pro instead - downloads to anything

sorry Dom - what's a Sensus Pro? Is it a dive computer? or a connection? basically I want to mock up yhe interface suunto sell for a load of cash. I know it can be done!

It's a dive recorder - a little black box that records your dive and can be downloaded to anything with a serial port. Or rather, anything that has or can have an adaptor to have a serial port.

I bought one myself when every interface I put together for my pooter laughed at me and refused to work.
