Vytec Battery Replacement

I've got a wrist mounted vytec - the old style, not a DS, which I need to change the battery on.

I can turn the battery cover on the back so that it opens a little but it doesn't come off completely and I suspect it should to do the job properly. Do you need to take the wrist strap off first, and if so how?

Cheers,
Simon

Just had a quick look at mine and from what i can remember from when i changed the batt on my vyper the short strap catches the battery cover. It is easy to remove, you need to take the boot off first and then you will see a small hole either side where you can use a pin or needle to push the strap pin out. Just make sure the pin doesn't fly out.

From the Sunnto Manual

Wrist model:
• Pull off the boot. Remove it first from the front end with the longer
part of the strap.
• Disassemble the shorter part of the strap with a flat 1.5 mm
screwdriver or a special tool for spring bars. The longer part of the
strap may stay on but removing it may ease the work later on.
