| Chris I changed my own it took about 10 mins total. I am ashamed to say I even used the old O ring and just put grease on it. I've had about 100 dives with it since the change so I must have done it correctly. Also if I remeber correctly the battery compartment is isolated from the electronics so even if you do mess up the computer is OK once you sort out the battery. I bought my battery for Maplins in the UK it cost £3 as I remember. |

| I found this video: Suunto Vyper Vytec Cobra Gekko battery change What batery does it use? Looks simple enough, any special tools needed?

| chris, actually ignore that link. Wrong one... I did mine on my Vytec, took about 2 minutes. Reused the o-ring its got about 20 dives on it with no problem. J.

| Chris It tells you how to do it in the user manual. On my printed copy its on page 56 it really is easy. Its a 3V Lithium coin cell. |

| Thanks. I dig up the manual and clear the dust. I spoke to LDS, they won't do it but will get me the battery 'pack' presumably including the fresh O-ring. Did you loose your memory by chance ( the computer that is?)

| Memory stayed in as I recall. I had downloaded it up before hand. Certainly the total dive time stayed. Just found the battery information its a CR2450 maplins code L66AJ (but guess maplins noy much use in Portugal) Last edited by colinpjenkins2 : 16-07-07 at 11:59 AM. Reason: added battery details |
