| gekko just cleared - 48 hours after end of dive |

| It may begin your next dive with max tissue loading though - so it may give you a shortish dive..... |

My Suunto Companion gets completely confused when you skip stops. It carries the dive on whilst on the surface. Jason

| Having done something similar, it will clear in 48 hours. I don't believe it will tissue load you though and even whilst it is bent you can dive it in gauge mode to record dive profile to download but it won't have an active tissue model. You should be fine now. However, these commentrs are based upon Vyper but should still apply. By the way, I am not sure removing the battery would have cleared it as that does not clear the memory. I believe Suunto have a secret, I have to shoot you now you know, way of clearing memory which is more than battery removal. (Thats why some people like Cochrans). Cheers, Rich.

| The idea of the Gekko going to ER is to prevent the diver diving again within the 48 hours. The computers saying you messed up and for your own safety you shouldnt dive. What the diver does on the other hand is down to the diver. The only ways to get around the ER is to not use the computer for the 48hours (it wont be any use taking it ahyay cause it will only tell the time nothing else) or take the battery out |

| For some reason i seem to know what almost every computer on the market looks like when its bent. Suuntos do not show SOS (or five past five) unless they are one of the older models such as a favour or solution. If you dive a modern suunto while it is still bent it will do gauge mode but thats it. If you dive one with a very very low battery it will not tell you anything at all (time depth) and bleep every five seconds (dont ask how i know this one). We did have a gekko go all weird, did a microsoft reboot on it (battery out and back in) and then it seemed ok. Couple of weeks later i wore it to shift a shotline and it still thought it was back on the boat. Ho hum.
