| Imported post <font color='#000080'>Dear all, I have a Stinger, my problem is the strap. I have changed the supplied rubber strap with a material double strap, so in the event of one of the pins falling out the watch, I don't lose it. Whereas with the rubber strap, if it split or pin dropped out I would more than likely lose it. Unfortunately the safer double strap won't go around my arm/wrist with a drysuit, only a wetsuit. I could use the rubber strap with the strap extension but then I'm back to square one on the possibility of losing it. Does anyone know of double strap that is long enough to suit my needs or of any alternatives, apart from buying another computer? Thanks very much, Ian

| Imported post I replaced my rubber strap with a loop of elastic webbing. It is about 20mm wide and a makes a loop ~50mm accross unstretched. This fits over a wetsuit and a drysuit and is a darn sight easier to put on than the old rubber strap. No chance of it coming off accidently. HTH Nick PS Not my idea, I stole it from Chris Boardman. |

| Imported post <font color='#000080'>Thanks for the advice guys. Nick - Where did you get the elastic webbing. Also is there any safeguard against one of the pins breaking and the whole lot dropping off your wrist? Thanks again, Ian

| Imported post The webbing was from a sewing/fabric shop. Most towns seem to have one and they have an extensive range of elastics. The loop goes through both pins (like a velcro strap) but it is a closed loop so it has to stretch over your hand to come off. If it snags on something it doesn't come off, if a pin breaks it doesn't come off. HTH Nick |
